Coming in December! CEE at COP15

 

The 15th Conference of the Parties, or COP15. to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity will be held in Montreal, Canada, from December 7–19, 2022. COP15 brings together governments from around the world to set out new goals and develop an action plan for nature over the next decade.

CEE will have four staff at the meeting: Executive Director Karenna Gore, Director of Sustainability and Global Affairs Andrew Schwartz, Senior Advisor Gopal Patel, and Research Associate Alyssa Ng. Watch for more news in December!

Black Interfaith in the Time of Climate Crisis

On May 17, Karenna Gore and William J. Barber III participated at “Black Interfaith in the Time of Climate Crisis” at the National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C. The event, organized by Interfaith America, addressed “the crucial role of Black faith leaders and spiritual traditions in the environmental justice movement and the unique challenges that climate change poses to Black communities.”
