Religions for the Earth
Religions for the Earth convened more than 200 spiritual and religious leaders during Climate Week 2014 in New York City to examine the role of faith traditions in addressing the climate crisis. This convergence, following the historic People’s Climate March, explored the moral dimensions of stewardship of the Earth and culminated in “Religions for the Earth: A Multifaith Celebration” at Saint John the Divine. The Center for Earth Ethics grew out of this pinnacle moment.
Through convening, movement building, education and advocacy, our work continues to support and generate meaningful inquiry into the moral, spiritual and ethical dimensions of the climate and ecological crises.
