“Faith in the Climate”: Karenna Gore Featured in Brazilian Publication After Brasília Interfaith Event
CEE Executive Director Karenna Gore was recently featured in Brazil’s Revista Cenarium for her participation in “Faith in the Climate 2025: A Spiritual and Ethical Call Towards COP30”, held August 13 at the Memorial of Indigenous Peoples in Brasília.

Invited by Brazil’s Minister of the Environment, Marina Silva, Gore traveled to Brazil in her capacity as co-leader of the North American Dialogue of the Global Ethical Stocktake—a groundbreaking initiative supported by the COP30 Presidency and Brazilian Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. Featuring six dialogues from around the world, the GES seeks to elevate the moral and ethical dimensions of the climate crisis.
Gore spoke with Cenarium reporter Ana Cláudia Leocádio, who stated that, “Gore returned to Brazil not only with a feeling of family love, but also because of the climate emergency the world faces. She said she knows that in the United States, everyone benefits from the world’s forests, but that they also need to do their part for the planet. The challenge is to act collectively without destroying habitats and to discover how faith will help humanity on the path to conservation.”
