An Inconvenient Truth”: Then and Now with Climate Reality and VP Gore at COP 31

Thursday, November 12, 6 pm | Brazil Pavilion, Blue Zone

Twenty years ago, former United States Vice President Al Gore’s Academy Award-winning documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” changed the way the world looked at climate. With its clear presentation of the science and powerful storytelling, the film sparked an unprecedented global conversation on the climate crisis and launched a people-powered movement for solutions.

That same year, Vice President Gore invited 50 people to his family farm in Tennessee to learn how to use the film’s signature slideshow to share the truth of the climate crisis and inspire action. It was the start of The Climate Reality Project and the beginning of a global network that has grown to 4.5 million people from 196 countries and territories.

Vice President Al Gore and The Climate Reality Project will be at COP 31 in Antalya, Türkiye to mark 20 years of speaking truth to power and action on climate.

Join us on Thursday, 12 November for a dynamic conversation between VP Gore and special guest, Wanjira Mathai, who will discuss two decades of policy and progress inspired by the film, the challenges ahead, and the road forward at a critical moment for our planet.
