A Water Ceremony in Solidarity with the Women’s Water Walk

Join us for a ceremonial gathering and walk to the river in honor of water and in solidarity with water protectors. We will begin in the Union courtyard, sharing words, songs, and water, which we will pour into a shared vessel. Then we will walk a path on the edge of Riverside Park, to the pier at West 125th Street and offer the water to the river. This is in solidarity with the Women’s Water Walk, a 108-mile prayer walk that begins at the at same time near Damascus, New York, and is an act of love for the natural waterways and resistance to the proposed Constitution fracked-gas pipeline.
